Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm looking forward to building a few more. I built this one as cheaply as I could (the 'pipe' was $30 for a 40" section) to see if I could do it. Now that I think I can I'm going to pay to have some things bent when I build mine.
My buddy was tickled to get this one and I"m out less than $200 so win/win. Plus now I can guilt him into being my helper when I build mine. ;)

Looks nice! Having just built a pit a few weekends ago with my uncle and completely understand your comment of " If this one was any indication I think it will get easier with each one...". Haha...you learn the right and the wrong way of doing things on your first build. For me I always learn the wrong way first!
