Default Peoria Meat Monster Trailer Preventative Work

Hey everyone,

I was getting my teammates Peoria Meat Monster ready to head down to help out with OBR for this weekend. The good news is that there is such a record amount of support that they are pulling out on Sunday from what I hear. Way to take care of our own, that's stellar. Anyways, I was looking at the trailer and noticed some rust under the storage box up front and it bothered me. That has now turned into me removing the smoker off the trailer only to realize just how much rust there is. I then took of the storage just to become stunned at how much rust is under that box. If you own a Peoria Meat Monster, beware so that under the storage box does not rush out on you. Ironically there is not one spec of rust on the smoker, just the trailer. I plan on tearing it down, sandblasting it, marine primer, and painting on some Herculiner over to protect it. After I secure the storage box back in place, I plan on placing silicone around it to prevent the box from rusting out underneath. Just thought I would share. This is what I found under the box. I'm willing to bet he never saw this coming when I asked to borrow it to cook with OBR

Preventive maintenance is always better than a complete replacement.

Way to catch it before the Meat Monsters falls through the trailer while moving.
