Just read Franklin Manifesto
I have just finished Franklin's book and found it to be very entertaining. Aaron is a self effacing fellow who lets you see his journey to stardom, scars and all. It is an inspiring story of a guy who, like many of us, had a dream that came to fruition against the odds, because he cares.
This is not the tired, worn out, formula book of insipid recipes we all know too well. When Aaron builds his fire; watches the temp. gages; shovels the coals, and adds a stick; it's like you are there. You feel his passion, because it is the same feeling you have on Sunday in your own backyard. He senses that this is more than just cooking a piece of meat. He knows, as we do, that it is a culture worth preserving. His every waking moment is dedicated to improving his craft-- the quest for perfection. I think you will see a reflection of your own passion in his words. He is one of us.
