I have a client requesting us to do his wedding reception, and the venue requires that we provide non alcoholic drinks (water and tea). Typically, we do not do beverages. What is a normal charge/pp for these items? I know that cost x 3 is pretty standard, but I don't even know how much to prepare.

Thanks for your help.

How long are you serving? Are you on site for the entire event? If so will you have drinks out the whole time? What time of year and what temps where you live during that time? One hour vs five hours there will be a huge difference if consumption. The temperature will make a huge difference also, if it's 90 degrees and you will have a drink station up for five hours you could go through 40 plus gallons of drinks. Another thing to look at, does the venue have potable water if you need additional? If not you will need to have containers of back up. These are all factors that get built into our wedding packages. By building it into a package price it allows you to charge a little more to cover all this vs just saying the drinks are $. Even if I give a price lower appearance price for drinks I've padded other areas in our package to cover the additional needed to provide 40 plus gallons (potentially) for a 150 guest wedding.
