Default Gas grill mod

My buddy bluetang who is on the forum has done many diy's. I bought a nexgrill back in 05 which I modified for NG when I got it. It was cheap. So now the next 2 mods are to use DCS cast iron burners and the woodpelletsmoker insulated box and controller. Just waiting for the parts to arrive.

I am thinking of building a custom grill that has both stick and pellet capability.

Let me know how this goes.

Where did you get the auger and controller?

Thanks

I bought the pellet smoker and fan off of e*bay. The burners I found at a grill parts store online they were a little high around 60 ea.

He also sells it here .allchinas.com/probe/

I replaced the U tube burner with this one. I increased the size of the orifice from a number 45 drill bit to a 39. I could have stopped at 41 since I didn't see a change. The venturi is only opened 1/3. A single burner at low is 140 f. On high it is 400f or more. Still waiting for the smoker. Also changed out the heat plates to ceramic bricks.

Here are the photos. If all 3 burners are on it is way over 700f. I would think that it is around a 1000f the flat bricks start turning red.
