What works better?

I have two butts coming off the UDS in about 1-1 1/2 hours, I have to leave for church and will be gone for appox. 3-4 hours. Question is, should I foil, wrap in towels and leave in preheated cooler or preheat oven, shut it off and leave foiled butts in oven?

Foil in pre-heated cooler is what I would do.

Agreed- foil and wrap in towels- then in to the cooler.

I have left butts in a non preheated cooler for 2 hours before, and when I pulled them, the were still burning hot, so I will assume, a max 4 hour rest should be okay? I will check temp again before pulling. Was it 160 they shouldn't drop under?

Go the cooler route -- I've had butts stay scalding hot for 5-6 hours when wrapped in towels and newspapers inside a good cooler.
