Exclamation The 2020 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash is Postponed

Well guys I'm gonna call it and postpone the 2020 Texas BBQ Brethren Spring Bash.

I've asked a few people I trust and knowledgeable somewhat about things like this.
I believe it would be prudent and safer to just postpone it for later this Spring.
If it was just me I would be there but it's not.
It's all of us and I would hate to have one of us take ill with the virus when attending the Bash and possibly pass it on to their family at home.

Please call, text or email the other guys in case they don't see this post.

I hope you understand.

We will do this another day.

You didn't have to cancel it just because we weren't coming! JK probably a good decision considering everything. Hopefully we can make the next one!

Smart people make hard but correct decisions. You, Sir, are smart and made the correct decision. As a 70 year old diabetic of 28 years, I had decided not to make this spring but.. will be there in Belton this Fall.

Sorry it is postponed, but you made the right decision.
On the bright side, I will be healed up from my knee surgery by the time it is rescheduled and be able to attend.

It's certainly a reasonable thing to do at this time. Unlike myself, I don't know who may or may not have age or other health concerns with a much more likely dire health consequence to worry about.

I guess I'm somewhat jaded with past experiences with flu and one really bad one with Camphobacter JuJuni. I can easily see how CJ could kill grandparents or young children but, in my case, as an active physically fit young man, electrolytes were what I really needed though some generic broad-spectrum antibiotics were appreciated too.

I just received a phone call, yes a phone call, and the gentleman said the Texas Parks has cancelled reservations for group locations and I will be receiving my money back.
Thank you Texas State Parks for the call. I do appreciate it.
