Default the famous wampus peach bourbon baked beans (in the weeds)

so, at the very last minute, i decided that we needed an extra side at my niece's first communion party. stumped for what to do, i opted for the world famous wampus baked beans.

the problem was, it has been raining and i didn't want to be in and out of the rain for hours.....

so.....

sorry wampus, but i kind of bastardized your beans due to the rain.

the missus had to have a taste, and despite not eating baked beans myself, we both gave them a go during and after they were done and they are fantastic.

i smoked the fattys, but i finished the beansin the oven, indoors.

i did use maker's mark though! and benton's bacon!

i know everyone will enjoy these tomorrow.

thanks for sharing this great recipe. i love ya even though i think you are kinda crazy.

what a great recipe brother. we will be doing it again. this was a double batch and i had to sub the bbq sauce and ended up using jack daniels honey smokehouse bbq sauce. i used 1 tsp of cayenne in the batch.
