I wanted to congrats to everyone. I was planning on talking to some of you but being a backyard team I was away from yall and was super busy. I saw most of you guys while I made my rounds thru the pro teams but you guys were working on your boxes and didn't want to bother yall. For my first competition I had tons of fun and finished better than I could have ever imagined. 1st place ribs and 3rd in chicken second overall! I thought my chicken had a chance and I thought my ride were awful!!! I'm hooked!

Welcome to the crazy world we all love! Our first competition was in the BY division at Cornelia last year, so I know exactly where you're at with this :). Congrats on the great showing and we hope to see you along the trail! (Some contests have the same turn in times as the pro teams so you can get more socializing in without bothering anyone). Where are you competing next?
 
I am from Franklin nc so right now I'm trying to find close to home. Maybe Maggie Valley nc in July and definitely here in Franklin in aug! Yall should come up to ours! Id like to make the jump to pro but not sure I can afford to do it... haha
