Default Splitting a butt

So my dad has become fascinated with my UDS and has purchased two HUGE butts. I smoked one last week and it turned out great, BUT at almost eleven pounds, it took forever. I was wondering if anyone ever splits a butt that size? I was thinking about making the other into burnt ends, so any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Turn up the heat to 300+ foil after 4 hrs should finish in about 6 hrs total + 2 hr rest. I cook mine that way all the time.
