This was a cook I did 2 weeks ago, it was the last thing I cooked before getting hurt. :eek:hwell:

picked one of the smallest pigs I had for this cook. (not one in the pic... one in a different pen) Didn't know how many people would be here for the party.

Didn't get pics of the veggies, chips and dip and other stuff.

There are more detailed pics of the cook on my blog. http://cowgirlscountry.blogspot.com/2013/06/prepping-and-cooking-pig-on-cinderblock.html

It turned out great. Didn't have as many leftovers as I thought I would too. Hope to do another one soon. :)

Thanks for looking!

That bathtub is so handy for pigs! :becky:
Thanks... I'm feeling better every day. :thumb:

Thanks Bludawg, Titch (I love corn too ) and boiler! Yes.. bring your ice chest too.:laugh:

That looks deeelicious! I'm going to have to do one of those again. Not only are they really good but fun to cook.

By the way, I've never skinned a little pig but it surprises me that it is quicker to skin than scald.

Now that's a party! Awesome as always Jeanie - cooking a pig like this is very high on my list of things to do. :thumb:

Get well soon!

Thanks for the detailed post. Looked awesome. Love the references to skinning deer. Looks exactly the same. Bambi on the pit next? Maybe wrapped in onions and bacon for fat?
