Default Coleslaw for 250-300

I'm still getting things together for a back to school barbecue at my kids' school. I have lined up a donor for coleslaw mix. Any idea on how much I'll need? What about mayo/other ingredients?

I use the 3# bags from Sam's (Costco, BJ's, GFS, are all fine) I think 3# serves a recommended 16 servings. I always have coleslaw left over.
The dressing is tough - I make my own with mayo, vinegar, and Splenda. You'd probably need a couple of gallons of dressing. Make the slaw up by the big bowl or service pan, as needed instead of all at one time - that way is stays nice and crisp. Good luck.

I serve the St. Clair cole slaw in the bucket that Sam's sells. Each buck serves 20 for 4.88. Everybody likes it and it is so easy.

I'd say 7-9 gallons for 250. If for kids lot less.

I use the 3# bags, and get 20-25 people per bag. Figure about 1/4 gallon dressing per bag, depending on how much you like.

Make in small batches as needed for service!
