I had horrible temperature control problems I tried to shoot for 250 but not much luck...

I had the duo with firebox and really turned out some good q once I learned to control the temp. Just be prepared to babysit that bad boy and have plenty of fuel. Best part of the duo is firing up the gas side the crisp up chicken after a good smoke. I really learner a lot about smoking on that thing.

Looks good. I had the single Char Broiler with a firebox and learned a TON on that thing. When I use my BGE XL it's like cheating.
Turned out good Q with it, but long cooks (Brisket and butts) was a lot of babysitting with lump on stand by...
