Welcome, this is a really cool site 24/7, you will like it.
A subscription is not required for the info you seek. I logged out went to bottom Google search bar searched both your topics and both showed many hits??? Computers Doors: I've had and sold two Weber Smokey Mtn. 18.5" the original factory doors worked perfectly. Loose at first but easily molded over knee to fit and seasoning by frequent cooks put the "glue" needed. Spatchcock to me is just taking kitchen shears going down eac side of backbone and cooking the fowl flat, even flatter if you remove the sternum

At the bottom of the page is a google search bar that searches the site and is free for all to use.
Cajun bandit sells a fancy pants door for the wsm if your into that sort of thing. There is also a compression latch available. As for chicken, its a blank canvas. All i can say is high heat works well, north of 325. Heres a whole one i did yesterday. http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=203025

Instructions - http://www.southco.com/static/Literature/62.en.pdf You will need a step drill bit to enlarge the hole in the Stainless Steel Cajun Bandit door from 1/2" to 5/8". THoey1963 enlightened me about the above.

The reason I asked, I got a CB door for Christmas. It seems like a lot of people change the latch too. I thought there might be something wrong with it.
