i found a drum to make a UDS for $15 that had polyurethane coating in it and smells like paint , would that burn off and be safe to use?

If you do decide to burn it you better do it out in the forest and take along some SCBA.

Better still just fine another drum.

Please NO! $15 isn't worth it. Use it as a trash barrel but don't burn in it and for pete's sake................don't cook in it.
