Checklist for Competition
Does anybody have a checklist of all the things they take to a BBQ competition that they wouldn't mind sharing? We are going to do our first one on our own this year, and I want to make sure I amn stocked up.
Thanks |

Check out the "roadmap" at the top of the contest section, it has a lot of info for first contest... and other things you may be interested in.
Check out this link specifically for checklists... Welcome aboard, and good luck. http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...59&postcount=3

There is also a checklist at the kcbs website.
http://www.kcbs.us/pdf/YourFirstCookoff.pdf That is what we looked at before we went to our first cook off. Obviously some things won't apply to you but it is a good start.

I don't, but I probably should. We are disorganized for one, and there are 5 people on our team, inlcuding my mom who does box prep, but we are coming from 3 different places. That gets a little confusing. |

Ditto on that. I think that it is a very complete checklist.

Packing List
Here's one we shamlessly pulled from the Pollocks. Works well for us. Still tinkering.

Checklists are like grocery lists.. got to make one up yourself. Do a full blown practice cook at home before a contest.. everything you touch, write it down as needing.
