I've bought lots of excel briskets. Never had to much trouble with any of them. Usually buy them one or two at a time so I can pick through them and get the ones I like.

I have bought many an Excel brisket from WM and never had a problem. They are usually select. I would think the prime would be great.

$1.67 per pound sounds like a deal for prime.
Like the other guys said, I have never had a problem with Excel meat.

Excel is a great brand. The fact that they are prime, should mean they will be exceptional! The grading is independant of brand... USDA Prime - is just that. Much better than USDA Choice!!! without doing too much digging, I think it is the top 4% of all beef, right?
