I just talked to jim and he said that we can set up whenever we want to on Friday, still debating peoples choice(have never cooked featherbone ribs)

I have tried to email that guy several times and I never get replies. I did not sign up for peoples choice, because I didnt know when we could set up, and the peoples choice awards are at 8:00 Friday night.
I've never cooked feather bones either.

12 teams are signed up, featherbones have hardly no meat on them. I have never tried to smoke them before because I think they would dry out, but I have boiled them for 30 minutes then grilled them.

It was not sanctioned, but was a state championship, and had enough teams to qualify for the Royal and the Jack draw. It is supposed to be sanctioned next year.
