Alcohol bans at contests

It's a Bible belt thing. We had the "red solo cup" rule in Seymour Missouri's event too this year. Our team (all drinkers) thought this was one of the best events of the year. The organizers try to keep it a family event and don't want it turning into the American Royal Dark Side. There is no real enforcement so long as you drink like a grown up and not a frat boy.

What is a red solo cup rule?:noidea:
Is it some 'Merican code?
Yes, it is. Essentially...

We don't want you to drink officially, and we don't want to see any booze at our event. But, we know you will drink *wink wink nudge nudge* so if you use a plastic cup to drink your booze, we will pretend you are drinking soda. The large red plastic cups made by Solo Plastics are the standard at most events for serving beer in.

Thanks Bob, I thought that was what peeps were driving at...I think my slurred speech and stumbling and falling over should be blamed on a reaction to the plastic...will that fly?
