Road Trip/Labor-Day Cook
So somehow my wife and I found ourselves on the road without the kids and looking for a drive. So she says to me "lets go to that BBQ place you talk about so much, but never get to go to." She points out that we got a full tank of gas, no kids and no place to be. So me not thinking twice, puts the car in gear and asks no questions. So we get to where we are going and I smile and say hello to Wayne as I walk in, and start to eat, and my wife says "this bbq is good, but I like yours much better." To which all I can say is "thanks." She then goes on to say that since I don't get to cook that much, that we should change our labor-Day plans so that I can do some cooking. At this point I am convinced that my wife's body has been taken over by aliens, because she is never to keen on me putting aside the time it takes to do brisket and butt, but that's what she wants me to cook.
All I can say is I married a woman who knows me well and knows what I need; and I'm a lucky guy...

Nice looking eats! Good wifey too!
My wifey never really complains about me cooking anymore! I guess she figures I am at home and not running the streets going to gentlemens clubs and partying every weekend! I party and stuff at home where I cannot get into trouble!

...... it's a special time when you've 'turned the corner' and restaurant food has become 2nd (or 3rd, or ..) choice! One look at your pics and I'm ready to go for another long cook. Glad you both enjoyed the holiday in a 'proper' fashion.
Thanks & Regards,
