Trademark Status
ITS OFFICIAL!
Last week i got the official notice!! 2 years in the making and we are now registered with the USPTO as a Federally REGISTERED TRADEMARK and Copyright. I started the process in 2005, dealing with an attorney and the USPTO. Once you file for a Trademark, you are pretty much protected by (TM) status, but you can not claim a 'Registered Trademark' (The little R inside the circle, until the US patent attorney says so. Thats why all our stuff only has (TM) on it. It took alot of back and forth with the USPTO's trademark attorney, but finanally, we move to (R) status. Not a huge deal.. But i had to tell someone!!! It just gives our logo protection from popping up with someone elses name on it. Thats already happened a few times that we had to squash. If anything, its at least time to have a beer.

Congratulations.
Getting something out of the USPTO is no small feat. Which reminds me, I need to call a friend that has had a patent submission in for about 4-5 years now, and I wonder if he has it yet.
