26" Weber "Performer" just about complete
Here is the thread I started when I began making this about a month ago.
http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...63&postcount=1 I have since gotten it pretty much done with the exception of the quartz composite top which will sit about 9/16" above the aluminum diamond plate. The gas assist works great and I can't wait to use it. I have a friend in the powder coating business so I went with gloss black. This has been a fun project. I wish I could do curves in steel so this wasn't so recti-linear (is that a word?) but I was challenged doing most of this one-handed due to shoulder surgery. The first picture shows the gas assist

I'd like to see what you could do when you're 100% recovered from the surgery. Kudos on a NICE build.

Looks awesome, but what's the gas assist for? Seriously, I would love one of those, just curious.

The gas assist is for lighting a chimney.
