Simple brine overnight, a few favorite rubs, a little butter injection w/some kick, and BBQ sauce? Why not.

Hoping everyone had a great day.

Default First Turkey on the BGE XL

Brined for 36 hrs, injected with butter, smoked with hickory and pecan for 6 hrs. A majority of the party said the best turkey they had ever eaten. So great.

When my family does Thanksgiving it usually lasts for 2-3 days. Here's what I done for today. The first picture was half way through the cook, the second picture is the finish product. No one in my town had any twine so I had to improvise ;) .
