Haven't seen any reaction to this on here. It appears the show will be almost entirely different from last year. Saw the segment on the Today Show with Kevin Roberts and am not sure what I think. Reactions?

Lots of rumors, but I'm going to wait and see the final product and decide then.

Personally, I liked the versus version better.

That Today Show segment was horrendous and left me with very little hope for the show.

They couldn't fine ANYONE who knows about BBQ and is genial and charismatic enough to be a host?

I hope TLC has hired someone for damage control.

I heard rumor last week that I made the show!!!!

Ironically, I didn't audition, so I'm pretty sure that rumor isn't valid.

Maybe it's as a host. You'd certainly be an upgrade.

I've been hearing for a couple of weeks that somebody we both know made it, and they deny it.

If BBQ was a larger subculture that would be marketing gold!

If I remember correctly, one of the 1st series had well known bbq guys against 1 amateur team and they all had to smoke the same item on the same type of smoker provided.

The best episode was when they were given cinder blocks, expanded metal and some sheet metal and were told to build their own pit.

I'll wait until it's all said and done and announced before I decide I'm going to hate it or like...

Yes, and an "amateur" all female team won the whole thing. It's good TV.

Here's the Today show segment. It's kind of rough.
