interesting find wok lid

i found this aluminum wok lid at a second hand store. about 12" or so across. i cleaned it up and treated the wood handle and thought nothing of it. just now i found it all dirty so decided to clean it. but this time i noticed some stamping inside. when i looked it said "prec metal spinning
san francisco usa". now that was a surprise considering that i assumed it was made in china. everything is right ? it does seem a bit thicker than normal. evidently the co is still in business and it says they do woks and lids besides a lot of other stuff. usa made, who woulda thunk ?

yea, i have the heavy duty one with the longish handle.
