Default Question about fresh smokin wood

I have an Apricot tree in my back yard that I cut a few limbs off of this winter. I live in town, which begs the question, is it safe to smoke with that wood since it has been exposed to the mosquito fogger year after year?

They are NOT allowed to fog with any chemicals that are harmful to humans. Not so much for the skeeters.I would use it in a second! Your drinking water likely has WAY more chemicals in it.

Good question, I would think the chemicals used for mosquitoes would be similar to pesticides used for fruits and vegetables. I would also guess that the mosquito spray also gets on gardens and rinsing would be the course before eating. Probably dissipates after a certain period of time. I guess I would rinse the wood off a couple days before the cook just to be safe.

Use it, most of the chemicals would end up on the bark and get washed away by the rain. If you're cutting it this time of year without having fogged yet, all the better.
