Decided to make Baltimore Pit Beef Sandwiches for dinner. Bought two Eye of Round and did one the more traditional method and one with a twist.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. The thing I like most about this recipe is it really allows the taste of the beef be the main focal point.

Oh man that last photo took me back to my childhood. My dad would do pit beef on his old rotisserie every Sunday in the summer. He would sit around an drink PBR's while it was cooking. He never used a meat thermometer. The temperature of the beef was always contingent on how many beers dad felt like having before dinner lol.

That is some Pit Beef! Well done. Im feelin it and my butcher has some nice looking cuts on sale- I may have to follow suit. Thanks for the inspiration

MDB - thanks for sharing. That is a similar story to my own growing up watching dad on the grill. His choice of beverage was Olympia. I still buy it on occasion when I see it for just that reason. Funny the things that stick in our head from our childhood. Buy hey that's what BBQ is all about. Sharing good times and food with the family. :clap2:
