Hello everyone. I am Sterling Smith "Smitty" from Scottsdale, AZ. I have been BBQ'ing for a few years now just got into competing last year. My first comp was Sept. 2009 in Prescott AZ and I took 6th in Ribs and 8th in Chicken. Those calls do something to ya, and now I am hooked!! I started with an ECB then bought a WSM from Jaybird from Otis and the Bird BBQ Team in Mesa, AZ. After the Prescott Comp. I knew I needed something bigger if I am going to be competing more and stepped up to a Diamondplate FAT 40 smoker (Man this hobby gets expensive!). I will be competing in Lake Havasu, AZ next week for the 1st Annual HAVABBQ Competition Feb 26th-27th. My BBQ Team is Loot N' Booty BBQ. If some of ya'll are going stop by and have a cold one!
