Default Ft Worth Restaruant Depot has Lazzari Lump

40lb bags mesquite lump for $10.50. Picked up a couple of bags for that price. Any pros/cons for Lazzari?

It's Sparky if you live in a fire prone area. It is mesquite based, generates good flavor, and is middle of the pack for burn times and ash production. I use it often because they have a HQ 2 miles from my home and it is so cheap.

Ty, that's an excellent price, and it's a good value. I use mesquite lump on all my brisket cooks and a mix of it and Royal Oak on my butts. It does burn hotter, so you can keep your vents a little tighter, and it can be sparky when lighting (as in wear safety glasses!!), and all mesquite lump can come in large pieces, in fact you will find sections of small limbs. I smack the the big 'uns with a hammer.

Their oak lump is really good stuff. I wish they distributed it like their mesquite.

I wish the bags were not so dirty. You can't touch them with out getting black. Hands, legs, shorts and shirt all had smudges. I'll try some of it out in a few days.
