One of the best advantages to being in Cleveland is Slyman's in the fall.....AWESOME!!!! Have also bought a corned, not cooked out whole brisket....and made my own pastrami with butcher grind black pepper.....was really great on marble rye toasted with ground mustard horseradish mixture, then Swiss melted under the salamander.....

Do you have any idea on the times and temp they used. I would think a salamander would dry out really fast.

Do they taste like chicken?

I was wondering how many would it take to make a sammie?

They might be like anchovies and just taste like salt...

Slyman's is a staple in Cleveland. The line wraps around the corner with people waiting for food. When you go, you need to order a SMURF. It's a corned beef sandwich with swiss cheese and mustard. The funny thing is that they are only open from 10-2 everyday.
