I got a dual probe polder (thm 360) on line last week, the problem is that one of the probes was no good. The good thing was the company I got it from refunded my money and told me to keep it. Does anyone know if the probes from the maverick will work in the polder? The maverick's probe's stainless steel wires look like they are better suited for smoking then the silicone coated polder probes.

I guess you could plug it in and see if it registers correctly. Place it in some Ice Water and then some Boiling Water to check. Unless you don't already have said Probes...then, never mind....

If you can get the specs from both unit and compare. You need to know:

  1. Plug size, and polarity of both
  2. Thermocouple types used. Could be a K or J type thermocouples, not too sure.
If these two items are the same, then the probes would be interchangable...

Why don't you call or email Polder and ask them? Personally I would be warry of mixing and matching electronics like that.
