UDS maiden voyage

Rooster

Well I got my UDS finished or at least finished enough to season it. I made a few fatties and let her smoke. I used RO briquets with Jack Daniel oak barrel and hickory chips for smoke. It took me a while to figure out the trick to keeping it at 230-235. Finally settled on one cap off and the valve about half open. Next on deck is a 6 pound butt and some ABT's.

Here she is in all her glory warming up.

The fatties just going on.

Final results with a pretty nice ring.

Excellent Rooster!!!! Nice pics. Bet it all tasted great to. Gotta love the drum.

I do love the drum especially once I figured out the combination to keep it at the right temp. Now all thats left is some paint and a logo to dress it up.

Rooster, that's what is so cool about these things. A few cooks and you can dial it in pretty easy. Then sit back and enjoy the wonderful Q.

YES! Way to go Rooster. Nice looking fatties there.

Welcome to the drum corp

Fatties look great, drum is ugly as they get... I say forget the paint and find the beauty within:p
