Default Pulled Beef on the Egg **PRON**

Fired up the Egg today to do some pulled beef. Turned out great and was a big hit.

Started out with some Dizzy Pig Cow Lick rub

Covered a couple chuck roast with it.

Put it on the Egg with some hickory smoke and put some Budweiser in the drip pan.

Oh yeah... draped with bacon

Tried out the new stainless vent cap. Worked great

Took them out when they hit 160

Put into a Dutch oven with some water and molasses

Took the roast to 215 and pulled

Added some sauce and jucies that were in the dutch oven

Put it back on the Egg uncovered for an hour

It was awesome. Glad I have plenty leftovers!

Credit goes to Clay Qs Pulled Beef Recipe on the Dizzy Pig website.

I like it. When you open the lid, your vent settings don't budge. With the daisy wheel, it would slide open all the time on me.

Plus, its also a rain cap, and replaces your green ceramic cap. Close the vents on this and it snuffs out the fire.

I was at about 7.5 hours cooking at 250. That time includes the 1 hour I put it back on uncovered at the end and however long it too me to pull the roast apart.

Lately I've been liking chuckles and yours looks like it don't suck. I don't have an Egg but I like the looks of the rain cap.
