I feel your pain. It's like the season's gotten away from us already, before the first comp. Of course, we've probably forgotten how to cook, too.

At least you guys will be on the way up soon. I've got nowhere to go but down, as my next KCBS contest is probably 4 months away , and that's only if I drive 12 hours to Lawrenceburg TN again.

That's why I like the National BBQ Rankings, because they take into account the 9 or so other sanctioned contests I have between now and then.

Damn, driving is a fact of life, isn't it. We're so geographically undesirable.
I knew BBQ had taken over when a few days back the older kid said, "I miss the road trips", and when discussing an upcoming contest the younger one said "Only seven hours? That's not bad, that's a short one."
