Chicken ala Beer can

This was my first time smoking a chicken with a beer can. Man was it good and moist. Plus the beer was good too!

That looks so good. What did you use for seasoning and how long did you cook it for?
 
I used a bunch of stuff. Started with Olive Oil, then some Dizzy Dust, and a little Kosher Salt and Pepper. Cooked until I got an internal temp of 165.
 
Cool thanks. I'm new to this but did you have to refuel or is one chimney full of coals enough?
 
Looks great. Just bought 2 stands on sale at Menards for $2 a piece. Hoping to maybe do a couple real soon.

Looks good! Next try plugging the neck hole with something suppose to keep the chicken more moist. I have used a apple, orange, onion or potatoe before they all worked good.
 
I've done several of these and they have always turned out well
