Smile Step 1 completed, we are sanctioned!

I just found out that our request for sanctioning through the KCBS was approved. We are having our 1st Annual Hay Capital BBQ Cook-off and Bike Show on July 10th and 11th, 2009. We are very excited to be able to join the other contest with KCBS. We need suggestions as how to approach this event so that it will be successful. Any suggestions you all have would be greatly appreciated. Now for step two, getting a proclamation from the Governor.

Where is Yates City KS? Just seeing if it is close enough to Oklahoma I could drive to it.

We are about 100 miles east of Wichita, 120 miles south of Kansas City and about 100 north of Tulsa. Hope you can make it. We would like to have some of you pro's show up for our first comp.
