In all seriousness folks. I'm a BIG, BIG, DIED IN THE WOOL believer of small businesses. Supporting local businesses, not just in my area but other small/local businesses in other areas. If you're a believer in small business, how they positively impact this country and want to make change in the economics of this country. Then a great place to start is right here. We can post cute little photo shops with catchy sayings on facebook all day about how the "little man" is getting screwed, the government sucks etc. But that's not what's going to make a difference. It's talking with your wallet. This site is run by small business people. They provide us a platform, a meeting place if you will, to discuss things we love, learn from each other and actually do business with each other. They provide a platform for you to meet and do business with other small businesses. It's a big network and the only way to get this country's attention that small businesses is what carries this country is to support them. Talk them up, like their fb page, use your facebook page to promote the businesses you see on here. Point them to this site. Out of sight out of mind is a real thing. When you're on your facebook page at night sending out updates to promote your business. Give a plug to another local business you know. Preferably one on here. But help each other for god's sake. I promote small businesses on my facebook page that in reality are my competitors. But you know what? I'm cool with that. Because there's enough of the market to go around. Promote small business and shopping local as much and as often as you can. Shout it from the mountain tops. Get it and keep it on the forefront of people's minds. If you use this site on regular basis and it has helped you improve your BBQ'n. Drop $25 into the subscription bucket and go tell somebody you're actively supporting small businesses. Not just talking about it.

Sermon is over. We'll now take up offering.

Well said. This is why I buy BBQ supplies exclusively from Brethren vendors, with the sole exception of when I'm sending folks stuff local to Memphis, but I get those at a locally owned Mom and Pop restaurant supply store.

I've been meaning to pay for a membership for ages now. I've learned a ton here and want o support it back. This thread was a good reminder to pony up!
