So tonight is day three of our county fair and it's the night of the Western Illinois National Tractor Pull. We're expecting anywhere from 3000-5000 people on the infield for the event, with just us and one other food vendor to serve them all.
This was NOT the day to agree to also cater chicken, pulled pork, mac & cheese and cole slaw for 150 this afternoon.

Someday I'm going to have to learn to say no.

We survived it. Around 11:00 pm we were wondering if we would, but we made it!

Sometime after we left last night, someone stole a pork shoulder off the smoker at the fairgrounds. It had been on for less than two hours so I hope they're enjoying the effects of undercooked pork along with their hangover.

On the bright side, the thief left the brisket and actually closed the smoker and locked the lid back down so I didn't lose anything. So they suck sometimes, but in a conscientious manner. :becky:
