I assume your going to be taking I-95 for this trip (its the easiest straight shot to Ft. Lauderdale).

Hit up Shane's Rib Shack ... Its right off I-95 in Palm Beach County (about 45 min north of Ft Lauderdale. Get off on Southern Blvd, head west and it will be a few miles down on your right. If you hit Royal Palm Blvd, then you went just a little too far (but not much, i promise)

I also love Smokey Bones....pork, brisket...its all good, but i LOVE their smoked chicken wings with a dry rub and sauce drizzled in it. Chicken wings with a smoke ring! There is one in Ft Lauderdale ... 6500 North Federal Highway Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33308.

Everything in florida is pretty much strip malls and chain restaurants but these places have great tasting Q.
