My Stoker keeps powering on and off. This started with my last cook and I thought it might have been the cold ambient temp. Sure, it's cold today but not that cold. 33. Any ideas?
Thanks Bonewagon. Well, it's a bit colder than what I said earlier. It's around 20 and a driving snowstorm . I put a small heating blanket in with the stoker/router and it seems to be working better. I will get in touch with Rock's to report my issue and see if they have any ideas.
This is wierd. It USED to have this problem but Rock fixed it a long time ago. I remember him saying it was the probe connectors which had electronics in them and they had to be warmed too but that was like 2007. See video here.
Thanks Donnie, I remembered seeing that video before Popdaddy's passing but couldn't remember where! Thanks for posting. I will Rock's a call to see what my options are. Or move to a warmer climate!
Either way, I have a 13lb brisket in there now that will cook if I have to rub sticks together.
