Brisket Question

I have a Brinkman electric smoker that I installed a rotissurie on. I would like to try a brisket on it but from what I've read about liquid pans and no pans, should I remove the pan and rotate over the element? I also have a spare smoker (same exact one) that I kept for parts and I may convert to charc and maybe a temp control system. Too many cool ideas on here.

I would not let drippings get on the heating element because the grease may start smoking or even catch fire. As for whether or not you need liquid in the pans is truly a personal choice.

Remove the tiss & smoke that beef! My first smoker was an elec. Brink man & it made some good brisket!

You saying don't worry about trying to rotate it just smoke it? Have you tried it on a 'tiss'? The curiosity is killing me. :-D I smoked a pork loin on the rotissurie and it was great.
