somebody shut me the fark up.
Coming home from Lake of the Ozarks today, I made two stops... one for lunch at theBBQ legend Bill Sharp's BBQ east of Warrensburg (the guy's a crusty old toothless -- well, almost toothless -- man with 54 years experience in BBQ and who started off as a butcher). Had a great brisket sandwich and beans and purchased a jar of his sauce. Second stop was a Dutch (Amish) Country Store and Bulk Foods place. I picked up the following in probably one to 1.5 cup size containers:
Garlic powder (real powder, not granules)
Onion powder (same as garlic)
Worchestershire powder
Hot Hungarian Paprika
Jalapeno powder (finely ground)
White peppercorns
Ground Cumin
Bay leaves (finely ground)
Thyme (finely ground)
Got all that for less than $25. Not a bad score! They had tons of spices and seasonings there. will definitely make a few runs over that way during Q season to stock up for rubs!
