Can someone recommend a good digital thermometer and a good reputable place to purchase it?

I would suggest a Thermapen and getting it from BBQ Bonanza. (www.kck.com) Call and ask for Bob and the brethren discount.

the thing about thermapens,,, it takes a while to soak in how much the sucker costs, but you will save that in a good steak cookout!

I carry 2 now, thinking about asking for another on my birthday.
