somebody shut me the fark up.
Is there anything special about Oklahoma Joe smokers? Are they heavier than Chargrillers or Brinkman?
The Cimarron is a 1/4 inch cooker, has a welded on firebox and a door on the end for loading/cleaning ashes out. Pretty well constructed unit. Not sure if the Brinkmann Cimmeron has the door at the end of the firebox or not. That door sure makes it easy to get out ash during a cook.
With the exception of Horizon I do believe they are all 1/8" now.
The original OK Joes were all welded 1/4" steel. The original owner's brother is now making the Horizon pits that are the same.
Brinkman bought the original factory and now makes their 1/4" models there.
That makes sense. I always thought of the my Cimarron as an OK Joe's in a way, having compared the two once. My Cimarron only has a bolt at the vent, and does have the door at the end of the fire box. Works very, very well.
