Default Where could I be going with this? (Tease with updates to follow)

TD Evil Plan Of Domination...Part The One

Getting the required smoke from fire (OK, It's a SMALL fire)...

This is for the current "Berry Me" Throwdown which started Friday and will be accepting entries through next Sunday at midnight:

http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=163854

The berries and walnuts have cold smoked with cherry wood shavings in the A~Maze~N Smoker for two hours and are now sealed for an overnight rest to allow things to settle in.

I could go several directions with this.

Part the Second tomorrow...

Just took a sneak whiff of the berries. Smokey sweetness! I was tempted to partake, but resisted...

Default Here 'tis.

So. We have smoked berries and whole walnut halves. Quarter the strawberries and mix them with 1 1/2 cups turbinado sugar. Heat on kettle (Used a ci skillet to evenly distribute the heat). Add a teaspoon of lemon zest and the juice from the lemon, fold in the remaining berry mix and half of the walnuts. Cook some more.

Make some buttermilk waffle batter using the other half of walnuts chopped, slice then quarter the rounds of a banana and commence to make waffles...

Eat...

This ends the Official Entry.

Dude!

Well-done my friend, well done.

I'm not a huge waffle fan, but I would I'd push the wife out of the way to try those.
