Not to me... then again, I'm not sure what it sold for new.
He does say "or best offer".

My neighbor bought a new one new about 5 years ago for $189.00. I tried to talk him out of it, and even at that price I'm not sure he had a good deal because it leaked at every opening.

Make a UDS for less. I wouldn't buy that thing.

Price is high but an offset is good to have in the arsenal!

Didn't realize they made a Brinkman with 1/4 steel. I would make an offer of about $225 and see if he bites. I have a UDS and also an offset. The offset is great as when I am finishing up the cook, the kids always want to open the firebox and make smores

I am a proud owner of the same model. They are built like a tank and are light years better than anything bought new 5 years ago for $189.
I was lucky to find mine on CL for $90. That said, this one looks to be in excellent condition and has had some very useful mods done. Given that a new Horizon smoker (nearly identical smoker) of the same size costs $800, and a new 18.5 WSM costs $300, I'd say the price is decent. Of course, I would make an offer of $200 or so, and see what happens. That generation Brinkmann is essentially an Oklahoma Joe, made by the same crew in the same building as the OK Joe's, when Brinkman bought them out. Eventually Brinkman moved everything overseas and we end up w/ the chintzy crap sold at the big box stores. Horizon was started by the brother of OK Joe's founder after he saw what Brinkmann did. PS- I don't know why, but the tastiest Q I make comes off that offset!
