Default The Q-Shelter build is going down this weekend!

After nearly completing most of the other higher priority projects (based on the Mrs. Porkalot Priority Scale), it has come time to build the bbq shelter.
Will need to work on better names though...

Smoking Shack?
Pig Palace?
Meat Mansion?

Anyhow...

Started with this

This is the area of interest

Back side shot

Added in privacy fence

The grassy area is where it’s going

Added in 8 tons of crushed limestone and a 38” fire pit.

The left side is where the shelter is going, right side will remain uncovered and will be where the open fire pit cooking happens.
This is also where I will eventually build a Carolina pit

Building supplies delivered today!

Actual build begins in the morning.

May have a local brethren or two stopping by to help, so I am putting ribs on the Humphreys first thing.

I am building a 16x16 lean-to type structure with open sides and metal corrugated roof (think pergola with a tin roof)

I will share more photos as build happens tomorrow

I say the SirPorkaPalace is built on the SirPorkaLot.

Either that or the Naturiffic Nest!

Not to run off topic but I absolutely love your layout. The house, the lot, the outbuildings, etc. I can hardly wait for my daughter to graduate HS because I'm leaving the burbs and looking for some wide open space myself. Love the fire pit idea and looking forward to seeing your cook shack.

You are the envy of the brethren this weekend, John. I hope everything goes as planned. With all due respect to all of the great names presented already, I would like to propose "Brethren Bungalow" or " The Diesel Den" in honor of our friend Dave.
