refractory cement question

Google the pizzahacker...he's made a weber kettle pizza oven using it. Works for him.

You have to use refractory cement inside the fire box area of fireplaces to pass code everywhere I know. There have been probably millions of meals that have been cooked in open fire places or with dutch ovens or cranes over the open fires so I would think this would be a safe product. the refractory cement is made to hold up to the heat and to not exploid from it as are teh fire bricks.
