Smoked Garlic Scalloped Potatoes and Ham
I used some of the smoked ham from the other day...
http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=88445 and made a creamy garlic, onion sauce to go with the potatoes. I lost my before pictures... but I made a garlic sauce by cooking sliced onions and garlic in butter until tender, then adding flour and cream to make a white sauce... Seasoned with salt and pepper then poured over sliced potatoes and ham layered in my skillet. Then onto the smoker with hickory.... I let them smoke until the sauce was bubbly and the sliced potatoes were tender. with some tomatoes and a cuc salad from my garden.... I really liked the smoked garlic potatoes and ham... I divided most of it into containers to freeze for future lunches for me. Thank you for looking!

Oh so yummy looking Jeanie! I love scalloped potatoes and for some reason my Mom always made them out of a box with the pitiful dried potato slices and that powdered cheese stuff. Time to make them up right - thanks for the inspiration!

I have made something very similar before with leftover ham but it did not look as good as yours Jeanie! I will definitely have to try this when my new dutch oven comes in.
