Cookbook Library

I am thinking about creating a cookbook library. Haven't sorted out the details but I get a lot of cookbooks from friends ect all the time. I hate to toss them. Give them away when I can. I am thinking of creating a Brethren cookbook library. I will post pics as I get them for others who may want them. haven't figured out the shipping yet for Brethren out of the area. What do you think?

I like the idea. The library concept, borrowing and returning, don’t know if it would be practical unless folks were nearby. Perhaps a cookbook exchange, put one in, get one in return. I have a few that I do not use much any more and wouldn’t mind trading. I like looking through cook books I haven’t read before. Although I see some logistical and shipping issues here too. A good idea though!

The reason is.........

There are numerous recipe websites but some of the older books that I have run into have more of the older meemaw recipes that are falling through the cracks (Pre-Internet) Also just ones that make us think this is great or I will make it better. (Fiddle Mod) The my take...

I'd be willing to give it a try. I just donated a whole bunch of books to the library, so the timing isn't the best, but I'd like to see books go to people who'd enjoy them.

I like it. Brethren cookbook.

Instead of posting as pics, why not print it and email as a pdf file....

You could make sections for types of meats, desserts, etc... and just keep updating it.

Just a thought.
